Saturday has a lot going on.

Start in Canyon at the Canyon Farmers Market from 8 a.m.–noon, with local vendors, food trucks, live music, and plenty to browse on the square.

Bar Z W**ery is also hosting the Special Olympics Texas - Panhandle Area Torch Run Saturday morning. Their event page lists registration beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Then head back to Amarillo for Discover! 5.0 at the Don Harrington Discovery Center from noon–10 p.m. The festival is back for the Discovery Center’s 50th anniversary with family activities, vendors, music, and an outdoor Amarillo Symphony concert.

Head to the Amarillo Art Institute for The Mother Road: Open Air–Open Road Paint Out and Plein Air Show and see Route 66 through the eyes of local artists.

Then grab dinner at Fire Slice Pizzeria.

And parents: Friday is the Kids, Incorporated of Amarillo, Texas, fall outdoor soccer payment deadline, so get that handled before the weekend takes over.
