When people think of profitable Airbnb upgrades, they usually picture expensive renovations or dramatic remodels. Truthfully, it’s often the smaller details that quietly win more bookings. ✨

The things that make guests say “they really thought of everything”

Here are 5 amenities we believe make a real difference:

1️⃣ King Bed
Comfort matters more than people think. And now that guests can filter specifically for king beds, not having one can mean getting skipped before they even click your listing. Sometimes one bed upgrade changes everything.

2️⃣ Makeup Station
We’ll say it plainly, guests notice this. A real space to get ready with a mirror, good lighting, and somewhere to sit feels thoughtful and practical. Especially for girls’ trips, weddings, or longer stays.

3️⃣ Coffee Station ☕
There’s something about waking up in a new place and seeing a clean little coffee setup waiting for you. Coffee, decaf, tea, sugar, creamer, kettle, filters. Simple touches, but they start the stay off right.

4️⃣ Fully Stocked Kitchen
Families and longer-stay guests love a kitchen that actually functions. Enough cookware, sharp knives, storage containers, basics you’d use at home. Not just “a kitchen” one people can live in for a few days.

5️⃣ Smart Tech
This one helps both sides. Guests love easy check-in and smooth stays. Owners love fewer headaches. Smart locks, custom codes, noise monitoring, smoke alerts, all the quiet systems that make hosting feel easier.

What we’ve learned is this: guests remember how a home felt to stay in. Comfortable. Easy. Thoughtful.

That’s usually where the best returns come from. 🌿

If you’ve been wondering what upgrades are actually worth it, feel free to reach out. We love helping owners make smart, calm decisions for their homes. 💛

May is one of our favorite times in Atlanta 🌸

The weather is warm, the city feels alive, and there’s always something worth stepping out for. If you’re staying with us, here are three events we’d absolutely recommend checking out:

🎮 MomoCon: if you love gaming, anime, or big convention vibes, this is one of the city’s biggest events of the season.

🎷 Atlanta Jazz Festival: iconic Atlanta energy in Piedmont Park, perfect for a relaxed afternoon or full day out.

🌿 Atlanta Streets Alive: our wellness pick. Open streets, fresh air, movement, and a reminder that cities can feel calm too.

We always love suggesting experiences that let guests enjoy both sides of Atlanta, the vibrant energy and the slower moments. ✨

If you’re visiting in May, save this list for your stay. 💛

When it comes to decorating your vacation rental, artwork is one of those small details that can make a big impression 🌿

We often see hosts wonder: “Should I invest in paintings, prints, or sculptures?” The short answer: yes, but with intention.

Why we like artwork in rentals:
Creates a welcoming, memorable vibe for guests
Reinforces your property’s style and personality
Can make a space feel curated and thoughtful without being cluttered

Tips from our Zen-inspired approach:
Choose pieces that calm and inspire, avoiding anything too loud or polarizing
Stick to neutral or cohesive color palettes that complement the space
Incorporate local artists or subtle nods to the area, guests love that connection

Artwork doesn’t just decorate walls; it enhances the overall guest experience, making stays feel special and memorable. It’s one of those details that can subtly increase positive reviews while keeping your space stylish yet serene ✨

While hotels rely on standardized service, guests often book short‑term rentals because they want that personal touch, from local tips to thoughtful messaging and genuine interaction. That’s one of the reasons STR stays create such memorable experiences.

At the end of the day, people don’t just want a place to sleep, they want a stay where they feel welcomed and understood. 🌿

Not every booking is the right booking and most hosts learn that the hard way. 🌿

Over time, we’ve noticed a few early signs that are worth paying attention to before accepting a reservation:

1️⃣ Vague or incomplete messages
If a guest avoids sharing basic details about their stay (who’s coming, purpose of the trip, etc) it can be a sign they’re not fully transparent. Clear communication from the start usually leads to smoother stays.

2️⃣ Pushing for off-platform communication or payment
This is a big one. Guests asking to move conversations or payments outside Airbnb remove the protection both sides have. It’s always safer to keep everything on-platform.

3️⃣ Last-minute bookings with unusual requests
Not all last-minute bookings are bad, but when paired with things like extra guests, events, or unclear plans, it’s worth slowing down and asking more questions.

4️⃣ Ignoring house rules upfront
If a guest is already asking to bend rules before they even check in, it’s often a preview of how the stay might go. Respect for the space starts early.

From our experience as co-hosts, screening isn’t about saying “no” it’s about setting the right expectations. We take time to review profiles, ask the right follow-up questions, and make sure the stay is a good fit for both sides.

Because at the end of the day, the goal isn’t just bookings, it’s the right bookings. ✨ Have you ever had a booking that didn’t feel right from the start? 👇🏿
