🚨 Exciting news to share 🚨 This past week I started my new job at the University of Memphis as the Assistant Director of Public and Media Relations. I’m thrilled to be a part of an amazing team and working for such a vibrant, world-class institution! It’s top tier in research and a hub of innovation. Not to mention, in the first few days, I have met such kind and supportive people. I’m thrilled to be a part of Tiger Nation and will continue to keep you informed! Go Tigers Go! 💙 🐅

When I started at WREG, I worked with Wayne Carter on the nightside team. He became a mentor and close friend. My tv husband as we call it in the industry. He was my cheerleader and is always there during life’s biggest moments. Well, he jumped on a plane and surprised me yesterday on my last day. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending 🥹🥹🥹

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 Thirteen years ago, I stepped foot into News Channel 3. I know, 13 years?! It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long.
To be honest, I thought Memphis would be a stop in my journey in the news business, but I was wrong. I quickly fell in love with you all and this city. The grit, compassion, selflessness, kindness, humor and strength is unmatched. This city is truly special. No one can convince me otherwise.
I am beyond grateful you let me in your homes, sometimes during your most vulnerable time, and opened up. I am honored I could tell your stories.
We grew together. We learned so much about our neighbors and city. We kept each other informed.
You became my family, and mine became yours.
It’s bittersweet to announce my time at WREG is coming to a close. The station has become my second home. My colleagues are talented, driven and genuine. I am humbled I got to be a part of this team.
My last day is Thursday. I’m not leaving Memphis. Like I said, this city is special. I don’t see myself anywhere else.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible chapter. Please stay in touch and stay tuned for what’s next. 💙💙💙

Development at Liberty Park is running months behind schedule, and the city is paying millions in debt service while leaders look at options to hold the developer accountable and move the project forward.

“This was supposed to be breaking ground in January, and here we are in May,” Councilwoman Jerri Green said Tuesday.
