Y'all know I can never seem to say enough about how much I love Beanie Ben’s Breakfast Tacos. You should give them a try! You'll love 'em too!

Sometimes the clearest business idea begins with one question: why can't we find this here?

That question followed the founders of Beanie Ben’s Breakfast Tacos after they moved from San Antonio to the CSRA. The handmade flour tortillas and breakfast tacos that had been part of their everyday lives were suddenly hard to find, and conversations with other families made it clear the craving was shared.

Located in Beacon Bluff in the heart of downtown North Augusta, they built a focused menu around that memory. Tortillas are made in house, barbacoa cooks low and slow, and classics like bacon, egg, and cheese stay exactly as comforting as they should be. Customers often return for the consistency—the order is right, the food is hot, and the service feels friendly. For some, it is a new breakfast. For others, it tastes like home.

Fall Festival Season is upon us, folks! Canterbury Farms is such an interesting neighborhood (or collection of neighborhoods, if I am being accurate), and they have a lovely event coming up this weekend! Good Wednesday, dear reader!

Part of the thrill of what we do at Little Guide is discovery. To do our job well is to be of service to our readers and, in return, to our small business community by bird do***ng the businesses in Augusta that make this town unique. As a result, I get to meet a lot of very interesting people(small business owners seem to be interesting by default).

You'll pardon the expression, but yesterday I met a true diamond in the rough. Which is to say...a hidden gem. Which is also to say, a treasure in our midst, both literally and figuratively.

Meet Philip Van Emmenis, the owner of Van Diamond & Jewelry. This native of South Africa is, simply put, one of the most fascinating conversationalists I have ever met. We talked yesterday about life, the universe, and everything! But aside from that, Philip is a Master Diamond Cutter of global renown. What he once did for corporations, he now offers to the public in quality-cut, bespoke pieces designed in collaboration with the customer. Your ideas are made reality in a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry by this skilled artisan/craftsman. Not every town can say such...in fact, I'd venture to say that very, very few can say such.
