DMs are fun but our blog is where the real s**t happens.

we write about marketing for independent and alternative wellness providers (concierge docs, cash-pay NPs, functional medicine, integrative practitioners, therapists in private practice, Reiki masters, sound healers, wellness coaches).

it’s the stuff we’d say on a consult call but typed out and free, with real client stories sprinkled in (names changed, of course).

a few of the posts up right now: your bio is probably doing more damage than the algorithm, you have more marketing options than instagram, should you leave insurance, how to market your cash pay practice….

instagram is not the most important thing you’ll ever do for your business.

I see it all the time. wellness providers pouring hours into the gram, posting daily, watching their reach drop, blaming the algorithm, getting frustrated.

meanwhile, some of the most successful independent practices I know don’t really “do” social media at all. their page lists their hours and address and that’s the whole presence. Shares their blogs or other resources. their true marketing lives somewhere else. email, SEO, referrals, ads, a website that converts….

if you’re going to be on social, fine. decide what it’s for. a “we exist, here’s where to find us” presence is one thing. a “we’re trying to bring in new patients” presence is something else. most practices are doing the first while thinking they’re doing the second. then they wonder why nothing’s happening.

*the longer version is on the blog. take a stroll off the gram. link in bio.

hey, I’m Kelly. that’s Mike, the other half of microdose marketing.

we do full-funnel marketing for independent wellness providers. concierge docs, cash-pay NPs, functional medicine, integrative practitioners, therapists in private practice. the ones who’ve left insurance, the ones still in it running something private on the side.

I run strategy and content. Mike runs ads and the technical infrastructure. we work out of our house in massachusetts around two kids and a lot of coffee. small operation (on purpose)

we run our own business so we know what it’s like (the not being able to trust anyone). we also happen to be exceptionally good at marketing, which is the part most owner-operators don’t have time to become.

the gap between “expert practitioner” and “person posting on instagram” is real.

and most practitioners I know are stuck in it- posting just enough to feel guilty when they don’t, never enough to grow and get paid.

the way out is better positioning.

if this is you, read my blog! You must know where links are by now, right?

this man has heard my marketing opinions approximately one thousand and seventeen times and still does his own thing.

which is fine. totally fine. I’m not keeping score.

(I’m keeping score.)

anyway….. happy Wednesday. Terrorize a coworker today and film it for content. 🖤
