Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino hosted its sixth annual Every Child Matters walk in downtown Niagara Falls. The walk is held each year on September 30 to bring awareness, understanding and healing to the atrocities suffered by generations of Indigenous children at residential boarding schools across the United States and Canada for more than a century. Thousands of children were forcibly removed from their families and sent to the schools, where they were systematically stripped of their culture and traditional language, and where they were often the victims of violence and abuse. Hundreds of community members joined the walk in Niagara Falls.

The Every Child Matters Walk was held for Orange Shirt Day.

With measles cases on the rise in Pennsylvania, e3 worked with our client GIANT on a letter to the editor campaign about the importance and efficacy of vaccines when it comes to fighting illness. The result? A letter authored by the company’s director of pharmacy and wellbeing was published by multiple daily newspapers across the Commonwealth.

Vaccines have a strong safety record and remain a trusted public health tool recognized by leading health organizations.

Last week, our client Rosaleen Nogle, principal sanitary engineer for the Buffalo Sewer Authority, spoke to WGRZ - Channel 2, Buffalo reporter Rob Hackford about the recent once in an every 500-year storm that impacted the Hertel Avenue business district. Rosey also discussed how green infrastructure projects as part of the $1 billion+ Queen City Clean Waters initiative will help mitigate the impacts of combined sewer overflows when future storms occur.

Among the many attractions inside the new Highmark Stadium is an art display on the 300 level that depicts the history and culture of the Seneca Nation of Indians. The display was designed by award-winning Seneca artist and filmmaker Caleb Abrams, who is also a Cultural Marketing Production Artist at Seneca Resorts & Casinos. Caleb met with members of the Buffalo media recently to discuss the display and what he hopes fans and visitors take away from viewing it while at the stadium.

Seneca artist Caleb Abrams worked with the Buffalo Bills to create a six-panel wall display on the stadium’s 300 level that depicts elements of Native culture and history.

Buffalo Sewer Authority celebrated the completion of the $60 million first phase of upgrades at the Bird Island Wastewater Treatment plant.

The work at Bird Island represents the largest investment in clean water infrastructure in Western New York in over forty years.

BSA continues to strengthen the city’s wastewater system to reduce combined sewer overflows into our local waterways.

With a new school year now underway, Catholic Charities of Buffalo’s School-Based Services team shared tips with Spectrum News 1 Buffalo to help ease some of that back-to-school anxiety and adjust to the long days of school and all the activities that fall may bring.

Student support professionals are seeing a rise in student anxiety as kids are putting more pressure on themselves.

John W. Danforth Company continues to grow in Western New York and beyond. The company recently announced that it will lease 141,000 sf in Tonawanda to support its large and complex pipe assembly fabrication capabilities. In addition, Danforth will be relocating its growing Ohio office near Columbus to larger space later this year. Established in Buffalo in 1884, Danforth has more than 1,100 team members across a geographic footprint that includes operations in New York, Ohio and Vermont.

Yesterday, we joined with the team from Wells Enterprises to celebrate the opening of a new state-of-the-art employee center and production expansion at its Dunkirk facility. The ice cream manufacturer also marked the completion of the first two of four phases in the multi-year $425 million transformation of its Dunkirk operations.

Wells purchased the Dunkirk facility in 2019, and broke ground on this project in 2024. When project is completed in a couple of years, the company will have the ability to produce 5X previous capacity and support new innovations to meet consumer demand.

Catholic Charities of Buffalo, Buffalo Business First’s Tracey Drury recently sat down with him to learn what motivated him to work in the non-profit sector, in addition to the agency’s new strategic plan and a shift in focus from who we are to what we do.

He spent nearly 20 years at Fisher-Price and a decade at New Era Cap. Now he's applying his merchandising and marketing skills to stabilize finances at Catholic Charities of Buffalo.
