🥡 HALF ORDER: The Story Behind the Box of Fried Rice.

Filmmaker Eric "Remrod" Mayes recently joined Travis Cummings on KSDK News 5 On Your Side to discuss HALF ORDER, a documentary exploring the unique relationship between St. Louis Chinese takeout and the city's Black community.

What may look like a simple box of fried rice carries decades of history, culture, and shared experiences. Through stories of neighborhood chop sueys, St. Paul sandwiches, crab rangoons, Vess sodas, and St. Louis style fried rice, HALF ORDER captures a cultural connection that has helped shape generations of St. Louisans.

More than a food documentary, HALF ORDER is a portrait of St. Louis itself.
