Dolly Parton gave the world songs that felt like home and a heart big enough to lift an entire country.

In 2004 the Tennessee Air National Guard painted her likeness on a KC-135 Stratotanker and named the jet “Miss Dolly.” She stood beneath that nose art in red, white, and blue, the embodiment of pure American spirit for every Airman there.

That same spirit reached far beyond the flight line. Through her Imagination Library she placed free books into the hands of millions of children, filling young minds the way she filled the sky—with wonder, possibility, and the promise of something better.

From the tanker to the bookshelf, Dolly left everything she touched a little brighter. We will always love her. 💔

The world feels a little quieter today. Dolly Parton—the sparkling, big-hearted queen who turned every stage into a front porch—has left us at 80.

We will miss that voice. We will miss that laugh. We will miss the woman who made us feel seen, whether we were five or fifty. 💜

Love my DIY air plant drying rack! Simple 3-piece structure — two vertical cardboard panels glued onto wooden stands + a wooden crossbar on top — held together with spring clamps. S-hooks (and a few carabiners/wire) along the bar so the Tillandsias can hang freely. Super smart, cheap, and space-efficient way to dry them after their weekly swim. Dismantling takes seconds, and it's then packed away until the next swim day. 🌿✨️
