This one kind of hurts to say.
I (Michael) pride myself on being a creative person. But after years of doing this, here's the truth: marketing isn't about creativity. It's about clarity.
People have problems. They're looking for solutions. If your product solves their problem, your job isn't to be clever or cute, it's to clearly communicate how you solve it.
Do that, and sales go up. Almost guaranteed.
Clarity beats creativity. Every single time.
