Davis Sign’s part of the project is taking shape with the City of Everett logo, and around the corner, Schlough Studio SCHLOUGH STUDIO is hard at work on the mural itself. This is only the first piece of a joint project welcoming all to the great city of Everett. Keep watching.

New install at Schack Art Center
As part of Downtown Everett Association Storefront Grant program, we produced and installed Schack’s own window graphic design across their Hoyt Ave frontage, plus a fresh logo on the front door. The bold orange bands now tell everyone walking by what’s happening inside: live glassblowing, classes and workshops, exhibitions, the gallery store, artists in residence, and free admission.
Happy to bring Schack’s vision to the glass and to be part of making downtown Everett shine.

The making of a roll up banner using an Expolinc display system. Great for conventions, events, and trade shows. Easily portable to take on the road for multiple venues. Custom banner made for Weidner Apartment Homes

Group Therapy Bar & Grill’s new signage is up and shining bright in Renton, WA — the entrance sign greeting you at the door, and the pole sign catching your eye from the road. Day or night, you’re not missing this one. Great design by Craig Hooper!

The final phase. The Installation.
“We’re Already Here” is still standing in the park and plaza at The AMP in Seattle — protest signs from real AIDS-era demonstrations, permanently installed as a lasting part of the site. From raw aluminum to painted color to a permanent place in our history.
Grateful to have been part of bringing this one to life.
Artwork designed by Civilization.

Phase two. Paint is where these signs start to speak again.
Once the aluminum was machined, each sign in “We’re Already Here” got its color from the bold, urgent palette of the original protest signs from AIDS-era demonstrations in the 80s and 90s, brought back after being fabricated in permanent form.
Artwork designed by Civilization. Special thanks to project lead and technical designer Michael Evans, formerly of Davis Sign Company.

These signs were never meant to last. Cheap paper, plywood, marker — carried once, then gone. Davis Sign was honored to fabricate the permanent versions for “We’re Already Here” at The AMP in Seattle, designed by Civilization Design — rendering protest signs from real AIDS-era demonstrations in aluminum and set in concrete so their messages endure.
This is the first in a series showing that process, starting in our shop.
