How can you improve your GBP Positioning?
If you donât manage your Google Business Profile, youâre missing out. Think of your GBP as a mini, digital storefront. If youâre not doing these three things, youâre missing out on connecting with your audience in a frequently used channel:
Own your GBP:
Make sure you have ownership of your GBP so when information about your business changes, you can update it instantly to make sure your customers have up-to-date information.
If thereâs an empty space, fill it in:
Donât leave anything blank on your GBP. Make sure your service area, business description, services, and amenities are filled out completely and accurately. These are the top indicators Google checks to show your profile to relevant audiences and what position to put you at.
Donât just set it and forget it:
Just like your website, treat your GBP as a living document. Google will sometimes automatically update business information, so make sure these updates are correct. Periodically posting content to your GBP also helps drive engagement and building connections with your audience.
Improving your GBP positioning doesnât happen overnight. But ensuring your profile is full of accurate, up-to-date content and continually optimizing content is the best way to improve positioning and show up in front of the right audiences.
