Photography day! Smile for the camera.
Today’s the day to capture them. It is something I like to do outside where the light surrounds the painting but I never photograph in direct sunlight because it is too strong and blows out the image. A cloudy day is my favorite but I usually end up on my patio where the sun is not direct. I always color adjust and adjust for exposure in post. Yesterday was the day I had planned on doing this but the wind was blowing so hard it was a no go. Think of the canvases as glorified kites. The smaller ones aren’t as much at risk as the larger ones.

Working with different media is fun! I have been illustrating for as long as I can remember. Graphite, pen and ink, markers, inks, watercolors. I don't discriminate. They are all good, fun tools. Pencil and paper are so portable that I like to keep a pencil and small sketchbook with me at all times. Have a little time to kill while you are waiting? They are right there when you need them.

Revisiting a painting that I did of a canyon in 2023. The collector chose to display it on a very high shelf. The ceiling in the house was around 20 feet tall. I think the painting held its own and looked very good up there. I really enjoy seeing where collectors have placed the art I create in their homes. It makes me so happy to know that my work brings them joy.
