Most recruiting vendors want a signature and a 12-month commitment before they've sent you a single qualified driver.
That's backwards.
A contract doesn't guarantee performance β it just guarantees you're stuck if the leads don't show up. We've seen fleets locked into agreements for a full year, watching the same slow trickle of unqualified applicants, with no way out except to wait it out.
Here's the model that actually makes sense: prove the leads work, month over month. No long-term contract. No cancellation fee buried in the fine print. If the pipeline isn't producing qualified CDL drivers straight into your ATS, you're not obligated to keep paying for it.
20+ years in this industry taught us one thing β carriers don't need more promises. They need a partner that has to keep earning the business every single month.
That's the difference between a vendor and a partner.
