Do you have a great story? Rags to riches, overcoming defeat, achieving your dreams? Regardless of who you are, everyone has a story. Sometimes it defines you, and sometimes it drives you to keep pushing forward. We should all strive to learn each other’s stories so that we can grow closer together in an effort to achieve a more positive world!

We recently filmed a collaborative series at The UofL Center for Positive Leadership highlighting their Affiliated Professionals like Dr. Steve Gahagen.

His new book “Your Greatest Story” is out now!

You don’t have to be perfect, but you need to be present. There’s an overwhelming need in our community for mentors to step up and be a helping hand and a listening ear for young people who lack positive adults in their life. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana does an amazing job at facilitating this very impactful work!

You can contact Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana by phone at (502) 587-0494 or by email at [email protected] to learn more.

Gary Friedman, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana talks about the impact of mentorship and how it can change the trajectory of a young persons life.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana is a nonprofit that helps young people reach their potential by matching them with caring adult mentors, known as “Bigs.”

The organization focuses on one-to-one mentoring relationships. A child or teenager—the “Little”—is paired with a screened and supported adult volunteer who consistently spends time with them, provides encouragement, and becomes a positive, dependable presence in their life.

If you’d like to be involved either as a mentor or to support them financially you can email them at [email protected] or by phone at 502-587-0494.

The Ghost and the Darkness soundtrack cd became a big part of this interview accidentally. Sometimes you just gotta have fun. I need to go watch this move again. RIP Val Kilmer.
