Our team recently met with a lawn care company that had a decent website. Recent photos, clear pricing, and writing that really sold their services.

Is your contact form too long? A potential customer is going to lose interest if they have to spend too much time filling out your form. More fields = a bigger chance for them to move on.

• Name and email
• Phone and full street address
• Property size and budget
• How they heard about you
• A captcha for good measure

Ask for a name, a phone number, what service they need, then get the rest when you walk the property. People finish short forms, and finished forms turn into work.

Your number should be tap-to-call, and your "Get a Quote" button should be big enough to tap without zooming in. The easiest company to reach is usually the one people hire.

Open your homepage and read only what shows before you scroll. Can a homeowner tell what you do and where you work from that alone?

A header like "Lawn Care and Landscaping in Portland and Nearby Communities" answers the two questions every visitor has. If you lead with a slogan or a big photo, and people have to dig for it, they're likely to just leave.
