- Authority transfers can take 1 year
- 301s should be kept in place longer
- Updating external links is critical

Wouldn't it be great? The end of walled gardens and algorithmically controlled feeds. Everyone with their own domain. Where you own your own content. When you post on your site - it gets syndicated.

This is essentially what the POSSE movement is all about. POSSE: Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Everywhere.

It's akin to the early days of the web and it pairs well with the likes of ActivityPub.
