Think streaming has replaced radio in the car?

Not even close.

A new study found that 83% of car buyers still listen to broadcast radio in their vehicles, making it the most-used in-car audio source by a wide margin. Radio also outperformed streaming services in daily listening.

For businesses, that's a reminder that radio continues to deliver something few media channels can: consistent reach, local connection, and the ability to reach consumers while they're on the move.

The media landscape continues to evolve, but radio remains a powerful part of the mix.

Broadcast radio continues to dominate the dashboard, with new international research showing it remains the preferred audio source for drivers and one of the most valued features in new vehicles.

A few members of our team attended the Missouri Broadcasters Association conference this week, spending time with broadcasters and marketing professionals from across the state.

Well, we did it! Q92.9 brought home some hardware from the Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards! We got 2nd place for Best Radio Imaging, 1st place for Best Public Service Announcement or Campaign for our Rock Out with Your Cans Out concert/canned food drive and Leslie on air got 1st place for Best Air Talent. We're so excited and honored to have been finalists in this year's awards season, but now the work begins so we can bring the Station of the Year award back to KQRA next year!

In his free time JD can be seen at local coffee shops sipping his favorite cup of joe while journaling, or at home playing the guitar. JD has 4 children and is very involved with all things sports and performance theater.
