October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month: Together, We Can Make a Difference!
Behind every survivor is a story we may never fully know. No one should have to live in fear, and everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued.
We're shining a light on Casa de Esperanza & Hope Haven, two incredible resources bringing hope, healing, and a fresh start to individuals and families in our community.
Serving Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties, Casa de Esperanza provides free and confidential support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking.
Their services include emergency shelter, professional counseling, legal advocacy, safety planning, a 24-hour crisis hotline, and assistance rebuilding lives. Through Hope Haven Counseling & Support Center in Marysville, survivors can also access therapy, advocacy, and additional resources on their journey toward healing.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
You don't have to make a large donation to make a difference! Consider donating shelter supplies, making a financial contribution, volunteering your time, or simply helping spread awareness.
Sometimes, sharing a post or knowing where to direct someone for help can make a life-changing difference.
Domestic violence doesn't always leave visible bruises, and it doesn't discriminate. It can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or financial circumstances.
Let's use this month to raise awareness, support survivors, and remind those who may be suffering in silence that they are not alone and help is available.
