Your AI is only as good as its access to your data. Legacy systems trap that data in silos, but you do not need to replace your entire tech stack.

Are you giving away your IP to AI?

Pasting code or client briefs into free AI tools is a massive security risk.

These free tools train their models on your prompts, meaning your confidential data can easily be leaked.
Under POPIA, feeding personal data into unapproved AI tools is an unauthorized transfer. Fines can reach up to R10 million or 10 years in prison.

Many client agreements in finance, government, and healthcare also strictly prohibit sharing data with external AI.

If you would not post the information publicly, do not paste it into a free AI tool.

To protect your business, get written client approval first. Only use secure enterprise AI tools and always remove names to anonymise your data.
