Our archives contain some incredible photos demonstrating the construction of the original Las Vegas Club sign which began in June of 1949. It stood 120 ft which was the tallest at the time. It required its own power plant that was larger than some which powered some communities. As you can see in the photos, there were some different standards around construction safety in the 1940s.
