Golden hour at one of my favorite parks. ✨

Just a little reminder: your kids don’t have to sit perfectly, smile on command or look at the camera for us to create beautiful photos.

I love following their lead, letting them explore and giving them time to feel comfortable. Sometimes the most meaningful photos happen when everyone stops worrying about the camera and simply enjoys being together.

No pressure. No forced smiles. Just your family being exactly who you are. 🤍

A little friendly reminder about MINI sessions 🤎📸

Mini sessions are amazing for quick family photos, updated pictures of the kids, couples, milestones, Christmas cards, etc. But one thing minis cannot be used for is senior pictures.

I actually had someone book a fall mini for senior photos this weekend, and it made me realize I’ve never really explained why these are two very different types of sessions — so absolutely no hard feelings! 🤍

Senior sessions take quite a bit of preparation behind the scenes.

Before a senior session, I spend time learning about your senior, researching the location, thinking through lighting and poses, planning variety, and deciding which equipment and lenses I want to bring. I have certain lenses I specifically love using for senior portraits because they give us that polished, beautiful senior-photo look.

And the work doesn’t stop when we finish shooting.

Senior portraits also get more detailed attention during editing. I’m watching for things like temporary acne, skin smoothing, distractions, stray hairs and all of those little details because these aren’t just quick updated photos — these are your senior pictures. Photos you’ll use for announcements, graduation, yearbooks, gifts and probably look back on for decades.

A 15-minute fall mini just doesn’t give us the time or flexibility to create the experience and variety I want every senior to have.

So going forward, if you have a senior, please reach out about a Senior Session rather than grabbing a mini spot. 🫶

I promise there is a lot of love, planning and creativity that goes into making sure your senior gets photos that actually feel like them. 🤎

Every year with the Clark family is such a blessing. 🤎🍂

There’s something so special about kicking off fall with this sweet family year after year. Watching the girls grow, seeing their personalities shine a little brighter each season, and getting to capture another chapter of their story is one of my favorite parts of this job.

Hey friends! 🤎📸

Sooo my OG camera body decided to start acting up on me 😂 which meant it was time to upgrade some equipment… $3,000 later. 🫠 LOL.

With that being said, I’m opening up a few more appointments this fall to help pay this baby down faster!

I’m really excited to use it! It’s amazing! I’ll be adding some mid-morning sessions at the Zoar Trail because it is SO pretty in October - The trees are changing, the bridge, all the fall goodness. 🍂🤎
