For 5 years, Maria Clarke, Senior Project Manager, has been making it look easy: keeping the details straight, the timelines moving and the teams connected. Under her guidance, many of JPL's busiest projects stay calm and on track.

It tracks that she's also a craft enthusiast. 🪡Whether sewing, knitting or crocheting, Maria brings the same precision, patience and creativity to a pattern that she brings to a project plan.

Cheer Maria on with a 🧶 in the comments.

Our Crafted & Collected series continues with a selection of postcards from Therese Pramick, Manager of Content/UX Writing. A collecting habit started in middle school has grown to nearly 8,000 postcards. 📬 And each brings Therese joy as reminders of places she's been or inspiration for future adventures.

From Flash developer to Chief Technology Officer, Ryan Pudloski has worn a lot of hats in his 20 years at JPL and keeps the agency a step ahead of what's next in tech. His down-to-earth leadership style takes the fear out of change and brings everyone along for the ride.

Off the clock, Ryan is a drummer 🥁 with an NPR habit and a bottomless well of random trivia knowledge. 🧠

Congrats on 20 years, Ryan! Let's see how good you are with Ryan trivia. Post the name of his pet tortoise in the comments.

Time for another peak into our Gallery exhibits with this unique piece from Katy Bastas, Creative Director, Craft & Visual Studio. She curated this display of a deer skull, dried dahlias and crystals to represent nature and inspire calm, positive energy. 🌼 Katy finds being outdoors in nature very grounding and this display helps bring that sense of balance into the Gallery.

Stay tuned next week for more hobbies, talents and treasures of JPL team members.

35 years in and Wayne Schaeffer, Lead Resource Manager, has mastered what teammates call “resource tetris.” He’ll find not just any fit for a project, but the best fit.

He’s also mastered the art of gift giving. 🎁 Mention something once, and Wayne remembers it for years, then somehow turns it into the most thoughtful gift you’ve ever received.

Celebrate Wayne by sharing a new grilling recipe for him to try! 🧑‍🍳

The next featured Crafted & Collected exhibit is from Dan Leister, Senior Interactive Developer, who built a Wi-Fi-operated 3D printed dispenser for dog treats 🐶 or people treats 🍬.

A maker to the core, building things (and taking them apart) blends Dan's sense of creativity with his technical problem-solving skills.

What hobbies, talents and treasures will the JPL team show off next?

In our next installment of Crafted & Collected, Bri Piccari, Associate Creative Director, Visual & UX Design, explains why she's drawn to crocheting. 🧶 The tactile craft lets her use her hands and explore creative stitches and patterns.

Bri's Gallery exhibit shows off the first sweater she crocheted as well as a few adorable amigurumi creatures.

As a Senior Account Manager, Valerie Myers, has been guiding some of our top client accounts for 10 years. She has a gift for building trust with clients and coworkers as well as bringing positive energy to every interaction.

But Valerie's gifts extend far beyond the office: 👩‍🌾 gardening, crocheting, cooking, learning a new language, designing her kids' Halloween costumes. 👻 The list does not end!

Yes, it's true, we did it … JPL has been named to the Best Places to Work in PA list for the 25th consecutive year.

We wouldn’t have this distinction without all the team members who have relentlessly leaned into change, supported each other and earned results for our clients throughout the last quarter century.

Here's to 25 more!

Take a trip through photographs with the next Crafted & Collected gallery exhibit from Meredith McCann, Director of HR & Talent Experience. Her travel photography is a celebration of her love for exploring new cultures. When this globetrotter visits places, she immerses herself in the local perspective. 🌍
