DECORAH, Iowa (Sept. 9, 2026) — After an early season marked by more than its share of ups and downs, Tyler Bruening had something to celebrate over Labor Day weekend.

The Decorah, Iowa, racer broke through for his first career Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series victory at Deer Creek Speedway, leading the final 27 laps to secure the $3,000 payday and his first win of the 2026 season.

"It’s been an up-and-down year. I’ve been struggling with some things, personally, my neck and got sick over the weekend, just not 100 percent," Bruening said. "I’m out of breath, Dustin (Sorensen) made me work for it there. The car was really good, it maneuvered really well through lapped traffic."

Bruening’s Labor Day doubleheader began Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota. Despite starting fourth in his heat, Bruening charged from eighth to second to earn a strong starting position for the feature.

Starting third in the 35-lap main event, Bruening slipped underneath Cory Dumpert on lap 9 and went on to lead the rest of the distance. He fended off Dustin Sorensen’s challenges following a lap-28 restart to secure the victory.

Bruening followed up the win Sunday at Iowa’s Cresco Speedway during the Labor Day Classic. After finishing third in his heat, he advanced five positions in the weekend finale to finish runner-up behind race winner Cory Dumpert.

INDIANA, Pa. (Sept. 8, 2026) — "The Truth" Gregg Satterlee has acquired his fair share of successes in 2026, and with Eldora Speedway's 56th Annual World 100 just around the corner, there's no better time to exemplify those successes than now, set to take on the world's finest at the "World's Greatest Dirt Track" beginning Thursday, September 10.

Satterlee, now an 11-time super late model winner this season, earned his most recent victory in a Sunday visit to Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, capping what was a three-race week across much of the Keystone State. The Paul Long Memorial victory earned the Indiana, Pennsylvania, ace a $10,063 payday, marking his seventh win at Selinsgrove this season and his fifth victory in his last six starts at the facility.

“Hats off to my crew for an awesome car,” Satterlee said. “We’ve had a lot of speed this year and I can’t thank them enough for all their help, as well as our sponsors for their continued support. Looking forward to riding this momentum into Eldora this weekend to see how we stack up.”

The Selinsgrove triumph came at the conclusion of a demanding week that began Tuesday, Sept. 1, with a visit to Lernerville Speedway. Satterlee then traveled to Port Royal Speedway’s “Speed Palace” on Sept. 5 before closing the week with his winning performance at Selinsgrove.

Satterlee finished sixth in both his Lernerville and Port Royal appearances, starting 13th on the grid in each event. The pair of top-10 finishes pushed his season tally to 21.

Now, Satterlee turns his attention toward Eldora Speedway, where some of the sport’s best drivers will converge for the 56th Annual World 100.

Preliminary competition is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Sept. 10-11, with Saturday’s finale awarding $100,000 to the winner.

RICHMOND, Ind. (Sept. 7, 2026) — With one of the biggest weekends in the sport on the horizon, Tristan Chamberlain stormed to victory Saturday at Eldora Speedway, piloting the Gibson Racing / Vision Woodwerx / KEG Nozzles No. 20C Longhorn Chassis Late Model to victory in the Earl Baltes Classic.

Chamberlain pocketed the $5,000 winner’s payday at the iconic Ohio oval, earning his first victory of the season just days before the 56th annual World 100.

"If you want to win a race, this is where you want to win it. This is definitely the biggest race I've ever won," Chamberlain said, adding that "I felt like I didn't breathe those last five laps when I got the lapped traffic. But being out front was definitely everything, being in clean air. I could feel — as soon as I got to lapped cars how loose my car got — but thankfully we were able to hold 'em off on those cautions and get this win."

The weekend began Friday at Brownstown Speedway, where the Richmond, Indiana, native competed in the John Gill Classic, the Northern Allstars Late Model Series opener.

After advancing from fifth to second in his heat race, Chamberlain’s night came to an end on lap 22 of the feature.

Chamberlain bounced back Saturday at Eldora, qualifying atop his group before winning his heat race to earn a front-row starting spot in the 25-lap Earl Baltes Classic.

Getting the jump on polesitter Luke Morey on the opening lap, Chamberlain led all 25 laps to score the $5,000 victory.

Chamberlain crossed the finish line more than three seconds ahead of 2021 World 100 winner Brandon Overton, securing his first win of the season and, by his own assessment, the biggest victory of his young career.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2026) — Trey Mills turned a last-minute trip to Brownstown Speedway into a $12,725 victory Saturday night, sweeping every step of the John Gill Classic en route to his first career Northern Allstars Late Model Series triumph.

The 18-year-old Floridian set fast time, won his heat race and led all 40 laps of the feature to secure his second win of the season after scoring a preliminary triumph during the Prairie Dirt Classic weekend.

"It’s so awesome (to win). I can’t thank my crew enough, we put this car together in three days after we had that hard wreck a couple weeks ago," Mills said. "We were debating on if we were even gonna race it this weekend or just head on to Eldora with the other car, but man, I’m glad we came to Brownstown and managed to get it done."

Mills backed up his strong start to the evening on Saturday with a dominant performance in the John Gill Classic, sweeping the event from qualifying through the feature. He set the overall fast time in qualifying, won his heat race and then led all 50 laps of the feature to score his first career Northern Allstars Late Model Series victory.

The win was worth $10,000, with Mills’ clean sweep boosting his total payday to $12,725.

Mills carried that momentum to Eldora Speedway on Sunday, where the 65-car field was split into two groups for the Earl Baltes Classic. He won his heat race before charging to a fourth-place finish in his $5,000-to-win feature.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (Sept. 8, 2026) — For the first 16 laps, Chase Junghans was on the move. For the next 35, he was holding on to the top spot.

Junghans took command of the Ron Jenkins Memorial on lap 16 and kept the lead through a tense closing stretch, powering his Junghans Motorsports / Bozard Ford Lincoln No. 18 to an $11,000 Midwest LateModel Racing Association victory at Lucas Oil Speedway.

“I was just kind of riding around at the beginning, trying to see where those guys would mess up and whatnot,” Junghans said. “I kind of got to (Wells) and I was getting ready to start making moves and he unfortunately broke, but our car was really good tonight.”

Junghans’ doubleheader weekend in the Show-Me State began Friday, with the Manhattan, Kansas, racer advancing from fourth to second in his heat race to earn a starting spot in the $5,000-to-win opener. He then picked off two more positions in the 30 lap feature to finish third.

On Saturday, Junghans again finished second in his heat race, earning a third-row starting position for the weekend finale. He powered into the lead on lap 16 and paced the final 35 circuits to secure the victory. The win was originally worth $10,000, with an additional $1,000 bonus boosting Junghans’ payday to $11,000.

WILLARD, Mo. (Sept. 2, 2026) — Kaeden Cornell found victory lane once again at Lucas Oil Speedway, scoring his seventh win of the 2026 season during Rempfer Memorial - Pitts Homes & Realty Challenge Cup Championship Weekend.

The driver of the Hoover Motorsports / Rocket Chassis No. 50 Mullins Race Engines-powered Late Model charged from the third row Friday night to capture the $1,000 preliminary victory.

"It was really good," Cornell said. "I have to thank my dad and my mom and Zach and everybody who comes with me. Dad's been calling me a Podium Princess lately, because I couldn't win one."

Cornell’s weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway, known as the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks,” kicked off Friday with the opening night of the Rempfer Memorial - Pitts Homes & Realty Challenge Cup Championship Weekend.

After finishing third in his heat, Cornell started from the third row in the feature and quickly worked his way toward the front. He tracked down polesitter Cole Henson and held off a late slider attempt to secure his seventh win of the season.

"I knew Cole was gonna slide me, I was just hoping that I could get back under it," said Cornell after Henson’s attempted slider. "I appreciate him running me clean."

Cornell returned Saturday looking to cap the weekend with another strong run. He won his heat race to advance into the finale but was forced to retire on lap 13 and was scored 16th.

N. AUGUSTA, S.C. (Aug. 31, 2026) — Ethan Dotson saved his best for last during a three-race Iowa swing with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, pulling off a last-lap pass Saturday night at Shelby County Speedway to capture the $20,000 Harlan Late Model Showdown.

Driving the ASD Motorsports No. 74X Late Model, Dotson overtook Daulton Wilson on the final lap to secure his second victory of the 2026 season.

“The line I was running, nobody was really running down there [in Turns 1 and 2],” Dotson said. “Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good there. Hate it for Bobby and Daulton, but the way it’s been going for me lately, I’ll take a little luck. I figured if I could get around the top down there and get a run on him, I saw [Wilson]’s guy telling him to run the bottom. Just all kind of fell together finally.”

The three-race stretch began Wednesday at Southern Iowa Speedway for the Corn Belt Showdown. Dotson won his heat race, pulled the “four” pill in the draw and went on to finish second in the 40-lap feature.

Friday’s visit to Adams County Speedway for the $20,000-to-win OSR Southwest Iowa Shootout produced a more difficult night. Dotson advanced through his heat with a third-place finish but pitted on lap 12 of the feature and ultimately finished 15th.

Dotson closed the Iowa swing Saturday at Shelby County Speedway by again finishing third in his heat to earn a spot in the Harlan Late Model Showdown.

He steadily worked his way forward in the 50-lap feature, cracking the top five before the halfway mark. After a pair of frontrunners tangled in the closing laps to set up a green-white-checkered finish, Dotson used the top side to charge past Wilson and lead the final lap to claim the $20,000 victory.

HOHENWALD, Tenn. (Aug. 24, 2026) — Oakley Johns left little doubt Saturday night at Duck River Raceway Park, leading all 35 laps to score a dominant $5,000 victory in the Marlin-Woods Memorial and his first career Ultimate Super Late Model Series triumph.

Johns put the Zippy Autos LLC / Franklin Enterprises No. c6 Longhorn Chassis Late Model on the pole with fast time before controlling the feature from start to finish. The victory was his first of the season and third of his career at the Tennessee oval.

“Hats off to my guys for a fast piece,” Johns said. “I first want to thank Jeff [Greer] for giving me the opportunity to drive this hot rod and all the sponsors on the car. This sport is very demanding and always changing, so it’s awesome anytime we can get the win. I couldn’t do it without everyone on the car and all my supporters. Can’t say it enough.”

While Johns’ weekend ultimately ended in victory lane, it started on a much different note Friday during the $3,000-to-win opener. After qualifying for the feature through time trials, Johns ran as high as sixth before being forced to the tail on lap 15. He rallied from the back to salvage an 18th-place finish.

Johns responded Saturday by setting fast time in qualifying with a blistering 13.025-second lap to earn the pole for the Marlin-Woods Memorial.

From the front row, the Hohenwald, Tenn., native controlled the 35-lap affair from start to finish, crossing the checkered flag more than three seconds ahead of runner-up Matt Cooper. Todd Morrow completed the podium in third.

Johns will sit idle this weekend before invading Mississippi on September 6 for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series event at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

SHINNISTON, W. Va. (Aug. 24, 2026) — Consistency was the name of the game for Brandon Sheppard during last week’s Iowa swing, as the Rocket1 Racing driver recorded four consecutive finishes of sixth or better across two series.

Sheppard’s best result came Tuesday at Marshalltown Speedway, where he finished second in the FloRacing Night in America event. He capped the week Saturday with a fifth-place finish at Maquoketa Speedway in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series's Hawkeye 100 finale.

“Man, what a fun week,” Sheppard said. “We gotta get a little better at the end of the night, but still thrilled with how the week went. We were consistent everywhere we went and we can build off of that. Looking forward to Lucas Oil picking back up this weekend in Pennsylvania.”

Sheppard kicked off the Iowa swing Tuesday at Marshalltown Speedway with a runner-up finish in the FloRacing Night in America event.

He followed that performance with a sixth-place finish in Wednesday’s $20,000-to-win FloRacing event before shifting his focus to Maquoketa Speedway for the World of Outlaws Hawkeye 100 weekend.

Sheppard finished fourth in Friday’s preliminary before capping the doubleheader with a fifth-place finish in Saturday’s $25,000-to-win finale, giving him finishes of second, sixth, fourth and fifth across the four-race stretch.

JUPITER, Fla. (Aug. 24, 2026) — Clay Harris kicked off his preparation for an upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series swing in Pennsylvania with a trip to Victory Lane in the Keystone State.

The Jupiter, Florida, native piloted his Wilkerson Farms / Dunn Rite Construction No. 6 Longhorn Chassis Late Model to Selinsgrove Speedway’s High Caliber Cranes Victory Lane.

“It’s been an up-and-down season chasing our first victory,” Harris said. “These races are so tough to win, and the competition is stout no matter where we unload. It takes a whole crew to put everything together on race night, and I can’t thank everybody enough for all the hard work and support. We’ve had some tough nights, but we stuck with it, and to finally get this win means a lot. Hats off to my crew and thank you to all of our sponsors.”

Harris’ weekend in Pennsylvania began Friday at Selinsgrove Speedway. After racing into the feature with a second-place finish in his heat, Harris took command on lap 14 and powered to the $5,000 victory, finishing 0.964 seconds ahead of runner-up Drake Troutman.

The team then headed to Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, where Harris turned in a solid seventh-place finish with another $5,000 top prize on the line.
