There’s a point every summer where visibility starts competing with distraction.

People travel. Schedules loosen. Attention spans shorten. And suddenly, doing more doesn’t necessarily create better momentum.

That tension shows up clearly in this month’s Visibility Vibes PR horoscopes, which focus on refinement, prioritization and protecting momentum without spreading yourself too thin.

Oregon’s workforce pipeline starts earlier than many people think.

John Meyer, one of the incredible educators and staff members at Oregon Charter Academy, was recently featured in the Business Journal sharing his perspective on K-12 career and technical education (CTE) programs in Oregon.

In the article, John highlights a timely challenge: In fall 2025, Oregon businesses reported 46,300 job vacancies, with health care, management and hospitality among the industries most in need of employees.

One practical way to strengthen that pipeline is through CTE programs that help students build durable skills and explore real options after high school.

John shares ways Oregon employers can get involved:

• Joining local CTE advisory committees
• Offering job shadows, site visits and guest speakers
• Creating paid internships for juniors and seniors
• Collaborating on work-based learning opportunities that build real-world skills

Read John’s full article in the Portland Business Journal. And if you are not already subscribed, we recommend it as a great way to stay up to date on Oregon’s business community.

Ad fatigue is real, and PR only helps if your message gives people a reason to care.

For small and midsized businesses, PR can be a powerful way to build trust, show credibility and connect with the people you actually want to reach. But PR can also miss the mark when it becomes too self-promotional, generic or disconnected from what your audience needs.

Before your next press release, social post, pitch or campaign, ask yourself:

➡️ Does this help our audience understand something?
➡️ Does it solve a problem or answer a real question?
➡️ Does it show proof, perspective or value?
➡️ Or are we just adding to the noise?

Thoughtful PR is not about saying more. It is about saying something that matters.

If structured content is really just good writing, then the next question is: how do you structure it well?

Start with how people actually think about a topic.

Tools like AlsoAsked map out related questions, showing how ideas naturally branch — which can help you build pages that are clearer, more complete and easier to interpret.

It’s a simple way to move from “what should we say?” to “how should this actually be organized?” Try it out: alsoasked.com

Structured content isn’t a technical trick. It’s organized thinking on the page.

In this follow-up video, Amy Rosenberg outlines five principles for creating structured content — a key component of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Structured content helps AI systems interpret and surface expertise. In practice, it largely comes down to clear, well-organized writing.

Here are the five principles Amy covers:

1️⃣ Purpose: Each page should focus on one clear topic, and the page title should reinforce that topic.

2️⃣ Headings: Headings should clearly describe what the section explains rather than using vague language.

3️⃣ Definitions: Industry terms should be defined so both readers and AI systems understand how they are used.

4️⃣ Independence: Each section should make sense on its own, since AI systems often extract portions of a page rather than the entire article.

5️⃣ Originality: Avoid repeating the same language across pages. Ideas should reinforce each other, but the wording should remain distinct.

How do brands show up in AI-generated answers?

In this video, Amy Rosenberg explains the three pillars of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — the foundation for appearing in AI answer engines.

GEO visibility typically depends on three things:

Authority: External validation such as media coverage, credible mentions and backlinks.

Relevance: Content that clearly aligns with the topics people are asking about.

Structure: How onsite content is written so AI systems can interpret and surface it.

In this video, Amy focuses on the third pillar: structure, often referred to as “structured content.”

Structured content is less technical than it sounds. At its core, it’s simply clear, logically organized writing — the kind that helps both readers and AI systems understand what a page explains.

In an upcoming video, Amy will share five practical principles for creating structured content.

April is where momentum settles in.

After March’s shift into action, visibility begins to take shape in a more sustained way. What you’ve started doesn’t need to expand — it needs to hold. Consistency, clarity and repetition become more valuable than pushing something new.

The April edition of Visibility Vibes is live, offering PR horoscopes for professionals focused on building traction that lasts.

A tough job market can bring a lot of stress, which is why we were glad to see our client ’s CEO, Nathan Cox, on KATU News sharing practical financial advice for navigating uncertainty.

A few reminders for those who’ve recently lost their jobs: be patient, review your income and benefits, prioritize essential bills, and reach out to your landlord, mortgage provider, auto lender, or other creditors early.

Try not to panic or make big financial moves like cashing out retirement savings. Stick to a bare-bones budget, avoid taking on extra debt, and consider side work if needed.

There will be ups and downs, but a plan can help you move through it with more confidence.

It's a difficult job market with job postings at their lowest levels since the pandemic.
