Your LinkedIn message doesn't get evaluated by itself.
The moment someone unfamiliar sees your name in their inbox, there's a good chance they check your profile before replying.
And in a few seconds, they're trying to figure out:
Who is this person?
What do they actually do?
Do they work with people like me?
Is there a reason I should trust them?
That's why rewriting your outreach over and over can only get you so far.
If the message creates curiosity but the profile creates confusion, you've added friction at exactly the wrong moment.
Here's a quick profile test:
1. Is it clear who you help?
2. Is it clear what problem you solve?
3. Is there a reason to believe you're credible?
4. Can someone understand what you do in 10 seconds?
If any of those answers are unclear, fix the profile before writing message version #17.
Your outreach starts the conversation.
Your profile helps the prospect decide whether it's worth continuing.
