Last Thursday, we were delighted to once again support our client Recorded Music NZ to produce the Aotearoa Music Awards!

A celebration of the wonderful talent, skill, and artistry that comes out of New Zealand, the Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of our most prominent musicians. During the Awards, Che Fu was inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame, marked by a 10-minute performance to close out the show.

The Pead team were on the ground managing media at The Civic throughout the momentous evening, welcoming finalists and guests on the red carpet (as well as meet our childhood hero Suzy Cato)! A huge thank you to our media, who filled every one of our passes available which made for a vibrant and energetic red carpet and media room.

Congratulations to Recorded Music NZ for a successful evening, and to all the winners for their well-earned recognition. It was an evening full of celebration and emotion, we are proud to support our talented artists. 🎶❤

Team update!

We’re pleased to announce that Adam Warin has been promoted to Senior Account Director.

After almost 10 years at Pead, Adam is a huge part of our Corporate team. With key clients including Xero and Centrix, he brings an impressive ability to keep a lot of moving parts on track.

He is also one of the great characters at Pead: He’s witty, generous with his time, and never short of the line that gets the office laughing.

Congratulations Adam, we’re lucky to have you on the team.

Team updates!

We're excited to announce four new appointments across our Consumer and Corporate teams.

Say hello to Bridget Taylor who joins us as a Senior Account Executive and Niamh Scully as an Account Executive both on Consumer. Together, they bring fresh thinking and new energy to the brands we love working with.

Within our Corporate team, Lotte Corrigan joins as an Account Executive following the successful completion of her internship with Pead. She is joined by Caitlin Veale, who steps into the role of Senior Account Executive, further strengthening our capability as we support organisations to build trust, navigate complexity and communicate clearly.

Welcome to the team 🤍

We’re proud to support the evolution of Mindful Fashion New Zealand into Fashion & Textiles New Zealand, a new name reflecting the full breadth and future of Aotearoa’s fashion and textiles industry.

More than a rebrand, this marks a significant step forward for the organisation which champions a sector that contributes $7.8 billion to the economy and employs over 76,000 people.

Fashion & Textiles New Zealand builds on seven years of momentum, uniting a growing network of industry leaders who champion innovation, circularity and long-term global competitiveness. With a clearer, more inclusive identity, the organisation is strengthening its role as a collective voice across the value chain, from fibre and manufacturing through to design, retail and reuse.

As the industry navigates complex global challenges, this evolution signals a stronger, more aligned future. The conversation continues at the Threads of Tomorrow Summit this June in Tāmaki Makaurau, with tickets available online now!

Personal brand. Leadership. Authenticity.

We loved being part of the TTBC Thrive Women’s panel event last week at Dentons, exploring what it really takes to build and protect your professional profile.

Huge thanks to TTBC for bringing together such a strong room, and to our superb moderator Becki Butler, Founder and Principal Consultant at Switch, and panelists, including Deborah Pead and Hannah McQueen Founder & CEO of Brightly and Teresa Tepania-Ashton CEO of YMCA, for sharing their insights so generously.

A thoughtful, energising evening with a brilliant community of women.

In today’s world, a strong personal brand isn’t about being everywhere, it’s about being trusted, consistent and clear, so the right people think of you at the right time.

Earlier this month, we were thrilled to support our client in the opening of their new Wellington store, a thoughtfully designed space redefining how New Zealanders discover and enjoy wine and spirits.

Located within Webb’s Gallery, the store brings Normanby’s signature approach to life: curated, conversational, and grounded in genuine expertise. It’s a place where customers are invited to explore at their own pace, ask questions, and connect more deeply with what’s in their glass.

Led by industry leader Liz Wheadon and a passionate local team, the Wellington opening marks an exciting next step in Normanby’s national expansion, with Christchurch and Queenstown on the horizon!

Stop by and enjoy a new destination that feels as welcoming as it is refined. Officially open now from Monday - Saturday at Webb’s Wellington, 23 Marion Street, Te Aro.
