Our friends at Weekend Backpacks Baltimore and Heritage / MileOne Autogroup through MileOneCares teamed up to help ensure local students have what they need as they head back to school.

Employees at Heritage Toyota Owings Mills rolled up their sleeves and packed 500 weekend meal bags, kicking off MileOne’s commitment to provide an incredible 8,000 weekend meal bags for students to start the school year.

As Weekend Backpacks says, you can’t get where you need to go on an empty stomach, and this partnership is a powerful example of what can happen when organizations come together around a shared mission.

Congratulations to Amanda Kodeck, chief giving officer at MileOne Autogroup, on being featured on the cover of Baltimore Style Magazine's August/September issue.

In the cover story, Amanda shares her work leading MileOneCares, the company's philanthropic program. Since 2022, it has provided more than 8,000 car seats to families in communities they serve, with a record month this June of more than 600 distributed. The program also funds vehicle grants for local nonprofits, supports DRIVE SMART's impaired driving education and, this fall, is partnering with Weekend Backpacks Baltimore to provide meals To provide meals to City Schools students and their families throughout September.

We were glad to help secure this opportunity for Amanda and the MileOne team. It's the kind of recognition we work to secure for the causes and companies we represent.
