Our press conference work with Belle Isle Conservancy and Lafayette American landed the key messages that Belle Isle is "more than a park," "Detroit's backyard" and "Detroit's cultural and recreational landmark" on all the major TV stations, Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, Planet Detroit, WWJ Newsradio 950, and WDET 101.9FM.

The Belle Isle Conservancy unveiled a new brand identity on Tuesday and is now calling the island "Detroit's backyard."

Tomorrow is proof that dreams do come true. Seven years ago for Detroit Homecoming, Mary Kramer said "Colleen, let's do the light show" and we caused a ruckus because suddenly there was life at Michigan Central again. We hosted a dinner in a building with no plumbing and no electricity with Lily Tomlin, Allee Willis, Al Kaline, Thomas Hearns, and 300 other Detroiters. I still remember Vittoria Katanski calling me to turn off the train station lights because all the cars stopping to take photos were making it hard to set up Tour de Troit!
