We're honored to have represented Spectrum Designs Foundation at the 2026 Gold Award Ceremony hosted by The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - USA.

Our CEO & Co-Founder, Patrick Bardsley, and COO, Tim Howe, had the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh and celebrate the achievements of young people whose dedication, leadership, and perseverance earned them Gold Awards. The evening was an inspiring reminder of the impact that opportunity, inclusion, and community can have on the next generation.

Congratulations to all of the Gold Award recipients!

Inclusive employment takes strong partnerships. ❤️ We’re proud to partner with The Nicholas Center to help autistic adults build skills and grow their careers at Spectrum Designs.
This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re celebrating our talented employees and the support that helps them succeed. Thank you, The Nicholas Center, for being part of that work!

No, we don’t hire autistic adults because we feel bad for them. We hire them because they’re qualified to do the work.

At Spectrum Designs and Spectrum Suds, that means real jobs, high standards, and quality results, from screen printing and embroidery to laundry and fulfillment.

We don’t lower the standard. We remove barriers to meeting it.

Autistic adults deserve more than a chance. They deserve careers.

Take a look through the photos to see inclusive employment in action and share this post to help challenge assumptions about autistic employees.

Unfortunately, we can confirm: once you get your merch made by autistic adults, there’s no going back. 👀

At Spectrum Designs, we create custom merch through screen printing, embroidery and more — while creating meaningful employment opportunities for autistic adults.

Great merch AND a social mission? Yeah… we think more businesses should expect both.
Send this to someone who needs custom merch 👕

We don’t lower our standards for autistic employees. And that’s kind of the point.

At Spectrum, disability employment means real jobs, real deadlines, and real expectations, from screen printing and embroidery to custom merch and fulfillment.

As a nonprofit social enterprise, we believe inclusive hiring shouldn’t mean expecting less from a neurodiverse workforce.

It means changing the environment so people can meet the same high standards.

Support isn’t lowering the bar. It’s removing what’s getting in the way.

This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we're showing what inclusive employment actually looks like.

15 years ago, we started making T-shirts because autistic adults deserved more employment opportunities.

Today, we have 3 locations, 100+ employees, and a whole lot more work to do.

We’re not trying to fit autistic adults into the workplace.
We’re changing the workplace.

And we’re just getting started.

Well… if you made it this far, you’re probably our kind of person. 👀

Autism employment. Inclusive hiring. Custom merch. Screen printing. Embroidery. Neurodiverse talent. And a whole lot of real people behind the scenes.

We’re building a business where purpose and good work go hand in hand.

Apparently, one employee BBQ wasn't enough. 😂🔥

🎶 Working 9 to 5… 🎶
Except at our BBQs. Then we're working 0 to 5. 😂

We celebrated our teams in Hackensack, Port Washington, and Pleasantville with games, basketball, video games, good food, and plenty of laughs.

At Spectrum Designs, meaningful employment for autistic adults is about more than having a job. It's about being part of a team, building relationships, having fun, and feeling like you belong.

Three locations. Three BBQs. One mission: create a workplace where our people can thrive. 💙

Which BBQ food are you choosing first? 👀
