Hashtags aren’t dead. They’re just demoted.📉

We’re all still slightly nostalgic for when social media was simple. Label your content, get found, grow. Easy, right?
But in 2026, the game is different.

Your reach isn’t won with a block of 30 tags. It’s won in the DMs, the watch time, and the keyword-rich script. As the platforms themselves confirm, generic hashtags don't really help with reach anymore.

So, where should you spend your time?
✨ Keyword-Rich Scripting: Instead of , say "Here’s how to write hooks that stop the scroll" in your first line. The AI is listening!
✨ Private Shareability: Private sharing (DMs and group chats) is one of the biggest signals for reach. Create content that makes people think of someone else and want to share it.
✨ Engagement Quality over Quantity: It’s not just about a "like." Replays, watch time, and deep comments are what trigger distribution now.

We recently wrapped a full website redesign for Westlawn School — a school dedicated to twice-exceptional (2e) learners.

Their community needed more than a website. They needed a digital experience that felt as thoughtful and specialized as the environment they’ve built.

So we moved them from a limited Squarespace template to a fully custom WordPress build — designed to better communicate their value to prospective families.
