🎨 Designing for clarity, accessibility and consistency.

Recently Focus Creative and Batch Services worked together to deliver a suite of flexible Canva templates for the National Mental Health Commission, making it easier to communicate important mental health information across social media and digital channels.

From concept development through to production rollout, the project combined accessible design principles with practical, editable templates that empower teams to create engaging, on-brand content with confidence.

A collaboration between Focus Creative (concepts) and Batch Services (variation rollout), helping turn complex information into impactful communication, efficiently!

This National Reconciliation Week, we’ve been reflecting on the importance of continuing to learn from and listen to First Nations voices. 🖤❤️💛

Last week, Emma from our team visited Ngalu Warrawi Marri (We Stand Strong) at the , an immersive celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and people.

Alongside traditional dance, song and storytelling, there were moments to connect with culture both through conversations and activities. It was amazing to learn about native plants and their many uses, from medicinal remedies to creating weaving materials used to create items such as clothing or fishing nets.

It was powerful hearing how closely First Nations communities observe the natural world, relying on animal behaviour, plant life cycles and seasonal changes as indicators for hunting, harvesting and weather patterns. As our climate changes, so too do the responses of native flora and fauna, disrupting many of the environmental signals that have guided communities and informed cultural knowledge for generations.

There was also the chance to learn weaving techniques and appreciate the art and cultural knowledge that continues to be passed down through generations.

Reconciliation is an ongoing journey. We’re grateful for opportunities like this to continue to reflect and learn.

Ellie, Emma & Ellie (yes… two Ellies 👯‍♀️) recently spent the morning at The Social Outfit’s workroom in the streets of Marrickville. 🧵

A big thank you to Sophie for showing us around the studio and giving us a look behind the scenes at the incredible work happening every day. It was amazing to see the team bringing garments to life using deadstock materials, and to witness the collaboration and craftsmanship behind every piece.

We’ve loved working alongside The Social Outfit over the past year, starting with our pro bono program to recently partnering on their value proposition and ecommerce growth strategy. Being able to support a brand creating real impact through fashion has been such a rewarding journey for our team.

Each garment is crafted in their Sydney studio by women from refugee and migrant backgrounds, creating opportunities through skills, employment and confidence building.

In a complex recruitment space, we designed a bold booth experience that cuts through the noise, helping communicate the benefits of a career in Justice Health in an engaging way, while showcasing the vital role they play across the broader healthcare system.
