To mark International Day of Charity, we’re shining a light on the fantastic charity that we’ve been supporting since Summer 2025 💫

Maggie's Nottingham is a serene haven for cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. Nestled in the trees at Nottingham City Hospital, they provide specialist support for all of those who are affected by cancer, including mental health support, managing symptoms and side effects, and supporting with important decisions around work, finances, wills and insurance.

We’ve supported Maggie’s in a number of ways over the last 15 months, including:

🍻 Joss and Bella volunteered on Maggie’s stall at Nottingham’s B**r and C***r festival
🎄 Susie and Alex ushered for Maggie’s Christmas concert and handed out event programmes
🏆 We officially became Business Champions for Maggie’s in March
🧁 We hosted a Bake and Brew event with clients and friends, raising almost £300
🪴 Rach, Jo and Hilary spent the morning de-weeding and pruning Maggie’s glorious gardens
🚶🏽‍♀️ Beckie has raised just over £300 through her Edale walking event on 12th September
🎟️ Sue has attended two Business Champions events, networking with other businesses who support Maggie’s

We look forward to supporting Maggie’s even more over the coming months, helping them to raise awareness of their invaluable services 💛

Meet Beckie, our Senior Copywriter and walking champion 🚶‍♀️‍➡️

On 12 September, Beckie will be taking on the Maggie's 10-mile Edale Skyline route, starting and finishing in the village of Hope, right in the heart of the Peak District.

Beckie has already smashed her fundraising target, but if you're able to sponsor her, every donation will help Maggie's continue the incredible work they do supporting people living with cancer and those closest to them.

Maggie's Nottingham is V Formation's Charity of the Year for 2025/26, and throughout the year we've been supporting the centre by raising money and awareness, volunteering our time, attending Business Champions meetings with other local businesses, and getting involved in fundraising events.

Happy anniversary to the amazing Literacy Volunteers, who have helped over 50,000 children discover the joy of reading 📖

Hilary, Paul, Bella and Jo headed to Nottingham's Trent Vineyard to help with the celebrations throughout the day. Between the team, we captured the key moments, helped run the ITV (!) interviews and AV, and cheered from the sidelines as they celebrated this incredible milestone.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Literacy Volunteers for having us support them in the run-up to, and throughout, the event ❤️

We can't wait to see the feature air on ITV Central tomorrow (22nd July) at 6pm to see their coverage of the event.

We can't write this post without giving a shoutout to the super-talented Avenue29 for documenting the day so beautifully, including capturing the brilliant keynote speeches from Jacob Dunne and Debbie Thomas, along with the fantastic performance by the Year 6 pupils at Mellers Primary School.

No bootcamps, just a good chat 💬

A morning well spent for Beckie and Jo last week as they headed over to Southwell to catch up with the brilliant folks at Bespoke Fit Life, discussing what's new and what's next 💪

They may have skipped the burpees this time, but it was great to see the gym up close and witness what makes it so special ✨

Yesterday, some of the team spent the morning at Maggies Nottingham volunteering in their beautiful gardens 🌸🪴🌼🌿 it was the perfect day for it! 🌞

Hilary, Rach, Jo & Susie spent the gloriously sunny morning weeding the pebble paths and chatting to some of the other volunteers about their own experiences and connection to Maggie’s - which further highlighted just how important and valued their services are 💫

As our charity of the year, we’re supporting Maggie’s and the amazing work they do through a range of volunteering opportunities and fundraising events 💛

You may have seen a few out-of-offices last week, and that’s because the V Formation flock came together for our annual away stay ✨

Over two days, we got stuck into team workshops, career progression, big conversations about the future of V, and pitched our ideas for how we make V fly. Not forgetting the 'Capture Morley Hayes' challenge and the great spaghetti tower build-off - the less said about some ’towers’ the better 🙈

We also couldn't let the trip go by without celebrating Jocelyn's birthday 🎂

A huge thank you to Morley Hayes for hosting the team, to People and Culture specialist Jane Rawden for leading some incredibly insightful sessions and helping us find our honk, and to our brilliant directors Hilary and Sue for organising yet another cracking away stay.

We've come back energised and with plenty to share. Watch this space 🪿
